The Ever-changing Means of Communication

Communication is a key aspect of every individual’s daily life. From face-to-face conversations and video calls to emails and text messages, people have become accustomed to finding quicker and more efficient ways to communicate with each other. Without communication, information can never be shared. As I browsed the innovation library on EDUCAUSE, I came across a white paper that addresses the evolution of communication and social networking. The article addresses the key factor of technology that has changed the way we communicate, and the way we think and talk about communication. The new technologies that have essentially made the cost of communication across the globe free, have also changed the way we work and function. How do you define Innovation?

An aspiring innovator is how I would like to introduce myself. Someone that is passionate about technology, especially the security aspect of it. On a daily basis, we may face security challenges in our work, school, and personal lives. That is why I decided to pursue a Doctorate in Computer Science, with an emphasis on cybersecurity. Cyberattacks and security vulnerabilities may not be completely eliminated anytime soon, but it is our duty to prevent weak technologies from enabling such attacks to happen.  Disclaimer:  My main focus will be on the Internet of Things as it is my main area of interest 😁.
